We’re in Umbria, at only 6 km from the border with Tuscany.

Life in Umbria is very relaxed, people are genuine and traffic is almost zero. Plus, it’s usually cheaper than Tuscany.

If you’ll go around you’ll have plenty of choices of beautiful medieval towns to visit, great-affordable restaurants, wineries to tour and really stunning landscapes.

Umbria is definitely less-packed with tourists than Tuscany, but since “Tuscany is Tuscany”, you can decide to visit some of the major towns at few kilometres from us. Being on the borders we have Cortona at only 30 min or Siena at 45 min.

…Your choice.

The closest highway is 15 km (around 18 minutes) from us.
We’re hilltop, once you leave the highway there’s an asphalt-hill road, with beautiful views, that comes up to our place. Usually it takes 20 minutes.

The Perugia airport, called “San Francesco di Assisi”, is the closest to us at only 35 min by car.

Other airports are:
Rome “Ciampino”, 2.5 hours
Rome “Fiumicino”, 2.5 hours
Florence “Peretola – Amerigo Vespucci”, 2.5 hours

Ryanair flies to Perugia from:

  • UK: London Stansted
  • BELGIUM/THE NETHERLANDS: Bruxelles Charleroi
  • GERMANY: Dusseldorf Weeze
  • GERMANY: Monaco (with Lufthansa), usually from 10th of May
  • SPAIN: Barcellona Girona

You can check Ryanair website for flights
*please note that Ryanair adds flights to Perugia along the year. So maybe, right now, you can’t see all the flights available.

Plus. The Perugia airport has a strong connection with the Rome Fiumicino airport, with 3 flights per day. So, if you’re flying from another airport (not in the Ryanair flights’ list above) you can check if there’s the chance to fly to Rome first and then to Perugia.
Please check the Skyscanner website for this.

Car or Bus rental

The Perugia airport (as well as Rome or Florence) has car rentals companies just out of the airport. Usually our guests decide to rent their own car so they can move around during the holiday.

You can check Hertz website or Avis website for car rentals details.

A local Bus Company is in Preggio, only 3 km from us. You also have the option to rent a mini bus or bus to bring your guests at the venue or you can use the bus for day trips.

The biggest supermarkets are within 25 minutes by car.
They are in the towns of “Umbertide” and “Magione”.
You can also check distances using Google Maps.

To provide food to your guests we also have a breakfast option (we put breakfast produce in the apartments and refill them along your holiday) or a “shopping list” especially for beverages (our beverages partner will deliver all the produces at the venue at they will be available for you in a common room).

“Umbrian experience – nature and culture”. We had never really been to Umbria, and our stay in mid-May this year was really a fantastic discovery! I’m referring both to the wider region with its mountains, forests and the many historical-cultural sites with plenty to see, and to the more immediate surroundings of this charming Agroturismo – a permanent invitation for pleasant walks, bicycle excursions or any other kind of trip. “Rainere”
